Fires in the Dominican Republic

In July 20, 2014, several forest fires occurred in the Valle Nuevo National Park, La Vega Province, Dominican Republic. Approximately 4,700 hectares of pine and other ancient timber forest have been devastated. Around 700 firefighters were in action to get the fire under control.
